Mold Test Results
Welcome to your Mold Test Kit results hub.
This page is here to help you:
- Understand what your mold plate might be showing
- Get extra help if you’re unsure about your results
Have your Mold Test Record Chart handy so you can reference your Dish # and Location Tested.
Step 1 – Check your growth level
First, use the Mold Growth Examples in your printed instruction booklet to estimate:
- No Growth
- Light Growth
- Moderate Growth
- Heavy Growth
This tells you how much mold grew on each plate.
If you still want help understanding what type of mold it might be or what it could mean for your home, choose one of the options below.
Option 1 – Compare your plate to mold photos (self-guided)
Use our online guide to compare your plates with real photos of common indoor molds.
The guide will help you:
- Match your plate to similar-looking mold types
- See whether a mold is usually common, moisture-related, or a higher concern
- Learn simple next steps you can take at home
➡️ Open the Mold Photo Guide (www.varify.com/moldguide)
Note: At-home visual comparison cannot replace laboratory testing. For exact species identification, professional lab analysis is required.
Option 2 – Send us a photo for a basic review
Want a second set of eyes on your results?
Our team can provide a basic, non-lab interpretation of what we see on your plate.
Please include:
- Dish # (from your Mold Test Record Chart)
- Location Tested (for example: Shower, HVAC vent, Bedroom window)
- When you started the test
Photo tips:
- Wait at least 3 days after starting your test so mold has time to grow
- Keep the petri dish closed and place it on a flat surface
- Take the photo straight down from above the dish
- Turn off the camera flash to avoid glare on the lid
- If you have several plates, send one photo per dish and make sure each photo matches the correct Dish #
👉 Use the form below to submit your photo and details.
(This is where you’ll embed your Google Form or Shopify contact form.)
Our team will reply with a general at-home interpretation—for example, whether it appears similar to more common household molds, moisture-related growth, or something that may warrant closer attention.
